jerry a picture

Jerry A

Jerry lost her mother to AIDS, and then her aunts, who had been taking care of her. She then went to her grandmother who later passed on. She was brought to our attention by a friend who had attended her grandma’s funeral. We took her in and she is now in school in Grade 6 and thriving.

Eddy M

Eddy's father was a soldier who died during the war in northern Uganda. His mother abandoned him at a church and he was brought to our attention by the church members. We took him on and he is now in sixth grade and doing well.

Esther lost her father and then lived with her mother, until her mother abandoned her, leaving for an unknown destination. She was brought to us by concerned members of the community, and now is the equivalent of a senior in high school. She wants to be an architect.

Zaina Grace's father died of AIDS when she was two years old, her mother when she was just four. She was raised by her grandfather, who contacted us as he was dying of cancer. We agreed to care for her. Currently she is the equivalent of a freshman in high school and doing well.
